The prevalence and outcome of covid-19 smell problems at Kurdistan Iraq

Background: In December of 2019, a new form coronavirus was discovered in Wuhan,China. Signs and symptoms it include tiredness, cough, fever . Another common symptom this respiratory disease is the loss smell. Objective: To find frequency anosmia COVID-19 patients our community relation to other communities determine clinical outcome affected by Patients Methods: This cross-sectional study at Kurdistan Iraq conducted during period from January 2021-January 2022 .The 460 cases were admitted quarantine centers 320 positive for COVID 19 sample size (260) smell affection with proven disease. Results: The percentage 81% size, they as follows, bad odor 9%, alteration 21% , partial 24% complete 27%. female all 55 % while male 45% Conclusion: Olfactory dysfunction one cardinal disease.Females are slightly more than males olfactory dysfunction. 4 th 5th decades while. happened within 6 decade patient mostly.
